Biography Performance
For your May book report, you will choose one person to read a biography on. You may choose any person you would like to learn more about. On Wednesday, Ms. Curry will share several biographies with you during Library to help you with your selection.
Our ‘performance’ of our biographies will take place on Tuesday May 19th at the Spring Literacy Celebration at Eagle Point (5:30-7pm). You are strongly encouraged to attend. It would be wonderful if you can look as authentic as the person you are reading about! If you cannot attend the Literacy Celebration, you will present in class on Tuesday May 19th.
Your biography will need to be displayed on a poster board for everyone to see. Poster boards are available at the dollar store. If you need help buying a poster board, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.
Your poster will need to include a paragraph for each of the following topics:
- Your person’s early life (important events)
- Your subject’s accomplishments/honors
- Your subject’s qualities/character traits that helped him/her succeed
Also, you will need to include:
- A portrait of your subject (drawn in color to the best of your ability)
- A title for your poster
*Be sure your poster is done neatly and is clear to read and understand!
Your Biography poster is due in class to Ms. Wall no later than Monday May 18th!
The final Book Report in June will be Dioramas! More to come....
